Opening for a post-doctoral research fellow (social work, psychology or counseling) for 1-2 years starting July 1, 2013 (or earlier if available) at the Boston University School of Social Work. The position supports our ongoing hoarding research projects in multiple roles as a Project Director. Research includes individual, group and technology based treatment interventions, psychopathology and experimental social research, and self-help, coaching and community interventions. Opportunity to develop own research projects.

Graduating PhD students should forward their CVs and a cover letter/email to Dr. Gail Steketee at steketee@bu.edu and Dr. Jordana Muroff at jmuroff@bu.edu.

Lee Shuer's hoarding began a decade ago as he began collecting Atari video games then progressed to vintage art work and musical instruments.

But soon, his apartment was overflowing with bobble heads, collectibles and anything he could get "free or a good deal."

A 50-year-old businesswoman from southern California recently walked into her 83-year-old father's apartment and nearly passed out from what greeted her. "I thought I had mistakenly entered an unlocked a storage area," she said. "There were stacks and stacks of papers, magazines, books -- literally from the floor to the ceiling."
