About The OC Foundation

The Obsessive Compulsive Foundation (OCF) is a not-for-profit patient advocacy organization founded in 1986 by a group of individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder. The Foundation's mission is to provide information about OCD and the OC Spectrum Disorders to sufferers and their families, the mental-health providers who treat OCD and the general public and to provide referrals to experienced treatment providers.

The OCF accomplishes its mission by publishing the OCD Newsletter bimonthly and maintaining its primary website, ocfoundation.org, and its young adults' Webzine, Organized Chaos, and the Compulsive Hoarding Website.

The OCF also sends free Info Packets and a Referral List to anyone requesting them and it sponsors the Behavior Therapy Institutes to train treatment providers. It also supports research through its Research Awards Program and its sponsorship of the OCF Genetics Collaborative.
